Social Media-
To market our film our group decided that social media would be our number one focus in terms of advertising. The target audience for our film is primarily teenagers who spend a large portion of their time on social media. We created an Instagram account to attract the attention of teenagers on the app. Our Instagram page posts include "mini-posters" to entice the audience and features a hashtag #whoistheboss that when used traces other people's post back to the page. The hashtag could also be used on other social media platforms such as twitter and tic toc creating additional buzz. The page features a link to buy tickets under the captions of all the posts. Our group also planned to create #whoistheboss Snapchat filter that people could use and share with their friends.
Posters-
On top of using social media advertising to create buzz for our movie our group would use posters as an advertising tool. Since the genre of our film is suspense the desired effect of our posters would be to create mystery and draw an audience in. For instance, a poster featuring the bosses legs lets the viewers know that the boss is female, but nothing else. Physical posters would be used in various locations but online posters would be utilized as well.
Online Advertising-
Additionally, online links included in social media posts will bring the online viewer to The Boss Movie Website. The website will include a link to buy tickets and enticing graphic images. The website will also include links back to the social media sites they were found on to encourage further sharing and viewing.
