Use of conventions

How does your products use or challenge conventions of your genre, and how does it represent social groups or issues?
Our genre used conventions typically found in the suspense genre. Such conventions included the use of blurred shots and editing techniques such as fade to black. Our demographic is likely teenagers and young adults given the genre and subject matter of the film. The theme of the film can be interpreted as a metaphor for teenage angst and feeling like all hope is lost, a feeling common among this demographic. The boss represents a solution to an insurmountable obstacle when the boss dies it signifies that there never was one which is relatable to teenagers. The social group teenagers are represented as all actors are teenagers and they react to situations in ways that are typical of Americas youth.
